Once again, Cat has developed a touch of wanderlust.  This time he has packed his snow boots and scarf, has the appropriate visas in his passport and is bored silly just waiting for Sunday to arrive.

We are heading to Banff, in Canada, for a white Christmas, joining David, Shan, Jack and Aidan for a couple of weeks.  David and his family will be living in Banff for a couple of months while Shan undertakes some sabbatical work.  We hope to have lots of fun in the snow with sleigh rides, dog sledding and building snowmen.  Jack and Aidan have been getting in some practise already at Yosemite.

Last weekend we had an early Christmas celebration, with Diane, Cameron, Michael, Emma and Kathryn joining us for dinner and, more excitingly, the Christmas Tree!  Michael even tried out a new hairdo for the occasion.

Hopefully, the blog will become active again about the middle of next week, once we arrive in Banff. We leave Hobart on Sunday, overnight in Sydney before departing on Monday for the 16 hour flight to Dallas and then on to Calgary.
