Southern end of Arrawara Beach |
Keeping an eye on the weather |
Grevillia? Callistemon? |
We awoke to ominous rumblings in
the distance on Thursday morning, so decided on an early morning walk along the
beach before the forecast rain set in.
We did have to share the long beach with a lone fisherman (complete with
empty bucket!), a couple of other walkers and an outdoor education class from
the local high school who were learning how to surf. The storm clouds out to sea looked very
threatening but remained off the coast.
In view of the forecast, we opted to leave the jumping pillows until
Friday.
Friday morning and the sun shone
early; an hour after the washing was hung on the line, the sun no longer
shone! There were a few showers during
the morning, which sent the kangaroos scuttling for shelter and it will
probably rain now for the next week.
Unfortunately, this meant that it was too dangerous for the jumping
pillows.
Today, winter has officially
ended, for us, and the wardrobe has been swapped over. All the winter woollies and thermals now have
a new home under the bed. It has been
good to have a couple of relaxing days.

Keep the rain where you are. We haven't seen a cloud for 2 weeks☀️
