Final Day in Broome

Thursday, 5 August

Our final day in Broome followed a cool night (the temperature dropped to 14.7 degrees!!!) and proved to be another beautiful clear day, low humidity and a top of about 30. Tonight we plan on visiting Cable Beach (not the “other” beach) to enjoy another tropical sunset over the Indian Ocean.

Not much happening today, apart from a visit to the hairdresser – the last chance probably for three weeks, and three weeks was too long to wait. Blow drying is an optional extra in this part of the country, so I discovered. However, wet hair doesn’t stay wet for very long.

The remainder of the day was spent with boring housework like laundry, cleaning dust, ironing, cleaning dust, cleaning and storing the barbecue, and more dust cleaning!

Some more photos from the camel ride, as photos of housework aren’t exactly exciting.

Why is the camel chasing a naked woman?
