Tuesday, 3rd August
We had a rather cool start to the day, with beautiful clear skies and a rather strong breeze which did settle as they day went on.
First thing this morning was a quick trip into town to finish souvenir shopping for the family before heading to Cable Beach. With the tide being low, we were able to drive onto the beach and head north. By coincidence, this part of the beach is reserved for cars and nudists! We had a very enjoyable long drive along the beach, with many other cars, taking in the sights - the sights were not restricted to the gorgeous blue sea and white sand, either. It is hard to understand just why middle aged (and older) men seem to think they are attractive when laying on the sand, naked, with their legs spread apart!! And there wasn’t a bare boob to be seen on the beach. Cat decided to do a spot of nude sunbathing as well, and couldn’t really see the attraction.
Another relaxing afternoon sitting in the shade, being wafted by a gentle warm breeze – and chased by flies!
