Noosa Beach - and blue skies! |
Sunday morning – it rained, poured actually. Of course, as the saying goes, when the going
gets wet, the wet going shopping, even if it is only to the supermarket! After lunch, the rain did clear, but not the
clouds, and we were pleased to see Graeme and Gladys stop by for a coffee and a
chat. That about summed up Sunday.
Monday dawned clear and I actually saw a sunrise and not
rain. The Pajero has begun showing an
engine warning light at times during the last couple of days, which
necessitated an early phone call to the local Mitsubishi dealer. They have booked the vehicle in for some
diagnostic testing on Wednesday, so hopefully it will prove to be either gunk
on sensor, or a faulty sensor.
With the mechanical problem sorted (for the time being), we
headed north for some retail therapy at Noosa, stopping at the Big4 Tewantin on
the way; just doing a recce. We decided
we prefer the Maroochydore area.
Although there didn’t seem to be many people about in Noosa, the car
parks were full and we had to make a couple of circuits before finding a
space. Our wander along Hastings Street
included many stops and visits to change rooms – Himself added to his
collection of shorts, trousers and jeans but did contain himself when it came
to shirts. I also discovered that a long
strand of small beads can make a very loud noise when they break in a shop and
little beads can cover an enormous area!
We even discovered that there is a beautiful beach right behind the
shopping precinct.
The northern end of the Sunshine
Coast is most definitely the
roundabout capital of Australia
– and we went round some of them more than once!
The sun shone all day – joy of joys!!!
